Pilot Information for ECE Programs

You do so much for the health and wellbeing of children. Let’s celebrate your dedication and hard work!

REACH recognizes child care excellence in Farm to ECE and Child Nutrition. Recognized facilities have a profile on the REACH website, and receive a certificate, digital badge, and publicity toolkit to tell families and community partners of their achievement.

If a TA provider in your county has contacted you about participating in the pilot for REACH, and you are interested in learning more, a flyer about the pilot can be found here.

If you are interested in participating, please complete this agreement that shows that you understand what to expect from the pilot.

You will work with your TA to gather documentation of two strengths in either Child Nutrition or Farm to ECE. Documentation may include menus, photos of your facility’s garden, lesson plans, photos of learning materials, and policy documents. Your TA will also ask for information that will be included on your REACH website profile if you are recognized:

  • Profile Photo (This may be one of the photos that you submitted as part of your documentation or another photo that shows your Child Nutrition or Farm to ECE activities. If the photo includes children, you must have permission from families for the photo to be used for this purpose.)
  • Community partners that have been most important in helping your facility achieve best practices in your area of recognition. (This may be an individual who provided support, training, food/materials, or helped complete a project, or a business that donated supplies/food. Examples include Partnership for Children TA professionals, local Cooperative extension staff, businesses that have given donations/volunteers, Eagle Scouts, etc.)
  • “We pride ourselves on…” (your program’s values/achievements related to Farm to ECE or Child Nutrition)…
